Maahir M&E

M&E teams deserve better software

Maahir M&E is being built by people who have run monitoring and evaluation programmes, the ones who spent nine days assembling a monthly report, the ones whose field team had no signal at the village, the ones who could not answer how many people they actually reached without three days of spreadsheet archaeology.

The field comes first

If a feature does not work offline on a phone in a village, it does not ship. That rule settles most arguments, and it is the reason we build the Android app first.

One dataset, one truth

Anything that needs an export between two parts of the product gets redesigned until it does not. The number on the dashboard and the number in the donor report are the same number.

Explainable numbers

Every figure traces back to a submission, a photo and a person who signed for it. No black boxes, and no indicator that appears from nowhere.

Open about the plan

The roadmap is published. The comparisons are published, including the places a competitor is the better fit. We would rather you choose the right tool than the one we built.

What it is for

Education and trainingA skills training programme running across districts. Enrolment and attendance from every centre, trainer observation and compliance checks, and a tracer study that follows the same trainees, held in one dataset.
Third-party monitoringA monitoring firm covering a country for a ministry. Visit plans and sampling, evidence photos and GPS, compliance scoring, and a donor-ready report for every client from the same data.
Social and rural programmesA household baseline study. Roster, demographics, income and assets collected offline, then midline and endline paired to the same households, with nutrition, agriculture and WASH modules ready to use.

A Maahir initiative

Maahir M&E is part of Maahir, a Server4Sale initiative building practical capability for people who are being asked to measure things that matter. It sits alongside the Maahir learning platform, which helps people build the skills to do the work.

Maahir, learn the practice

Practical AI and communication skills for the people doing the work: field teams, survey enumerators, programme staff and the officials who read their reports.
